Deborah Smith's sophomore album is a driving and soulful collection of Americana folk-rock songs, crafted on acoustic guitar and piano. She uplifts us with a powerful voice, spirited poetics and deep melodic exploration of personal struggles and triumphs.
Hearing in the Bardo was conceived as a collection of songs dancing around the ether of major life change. All tracks were recorded at IsoKon Studios in Woodstock, NY. Vocals and additional instruments were recorded at Galaxy Smith Studio in Brooklyn, NY. The record was co-produced by Deborah Smith and Colin Brown, engineered and mixed by Jim Bertini and mastered by Blackler Mastering.
